Product description

Product Description

Bambu Lab Support for PLA/PETG Nature 0,5 kg is a professional support filament developed directly by Bambu Lab for printing models from PLA and PETG. It is a breakaway support – after printing, it can be easily removed manually without tools, while leaving a clean and smooth surface on the model.

Thanks to its optimized composition, the filament reliably bonds with PLA/PETG at the interface area, but at the same time, the support is easy to break away after the print is finished without damaging the part. This makes it an excellent choice for overhangs, cavities, complex internal structures, or fine details, where standard PLA or PETG supports leave significant marks.

The filament is supplied in Nature (translucent, neutral) color and wound on a high-temperature reusable spool with an integrated RFID chip for automatic parameter loading on Bambu Lab printers.

Key Features

  • Special support material for PLA/PETG – optimized for use as a support interface to the main PLA or PETG material.
  • Breakaway support – easily removable by hand, in most cases without the need for tools.
  • Smooth support interface – minimizes marks and irregularities on the model surface after support removal.
  • Compatible with all PLA and PETG filaments from Bambu and other brands (within recommended temperature ranges).
  • Translucent Nature appearance – clearly visible interface between the support and the model, easier removal from complicated parts.
  • High-temperature reusable spool – resistant to higher temperatures in enclosed chambers, more ecological operation.
  • Integrated RFID chip (for Bambu AMS) – automatic material and recommended profile loading in Bambu Studio.
  • AMS & AMS Lite compatible – seamless use in Bambu multi-material setups.
  • Standard filament diameter for FDM printing – suitable for most printers with a corresponding filament path.

Recommended Use

This filament is intended exclusively as a support material, not as a main structural filament.

Ideal usage scenarios:

  • complex models with large overhangs and bridges
  • mechanical parts or design models where you require the smoothest possible bottom surface after support removal
  • models with internal geometry that is difficult to reach with a tool
  • multi-material printing in Bambu AMS / AMS Lite, where one slot is reserved for supports

Not recommended:

  • printing standalone models from this material – it is optimized for support, not for the mechanical properties of the final part
  • using with materials such as PA-CF, PA-GF, PET-CF, ABS, TPU, ASA, etc., where the manufacturer does not explicitly state compatibility

Print Settings (Manufacturer's Recommendations)

  • Filament diameter: 1,75 mm ± 0,03 mm
  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 190–240 °C
  • Bed temperature: approx. 35–60 °C
  • Recommended print speed: < 100 mm/s
  • Solubility: insoluble in water (breakaway support)
  • Drying before printing: optional, recommended for best results
  • Moisture protection during use: optional, but suitable for consistent print quality

For Bambu Lab printers, these settings are stored in the filament profile and are loaded automatically when using an original spool with RFID.

Compatibility

  • Supported model materials:
    • PLA
    • PETG
  • Recommended build plates:
    • Cool Plate
    • High Temperature Plate
    • Textured PEI Plate
    • Engineering Plate
  • Compatible accessories:
    • all standard brass and hardened hotend assemblies from Bambu (all nozzle sizes)
    • Bambu Liquid Glue / Glue Stick to increase bed adhesion if needed

Packaging and Storage

  • Fill weight: 0,5 kg filament on spool
  • Supplied vacuum-packed with desiccant for moisture protection.
  • Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and at room temperature.
  • For long-term use, we recommend storing in an airtight box or dry box for filament.

Who is the filament suitable for

  • users of Bambu Lab printers (A1, A1 Mini, P1P, P1S, X1, X1C, X2, X2D, etc.)
  • advanced users of other FDM printers who want to maximize surface quality while having easily removable supports
  • manufacturers of prototypes, functional parts, and design models where the appearance of bottom surfaces plays a key role
