Product description

Product description

Bambu Lab Support for ABS White (0,5 kg) is a professional support material designed specifically for printing from ABS filaments. Thanks to its composition, it creates a high-quality support interface, which allows the use of 0 Top Z distance (zero distance between the support and the model) without damaging the surface of the printed part. After printing, the support is easy to remove – it can be mechanically peeled off or dissolved in d-limonene, which is particularly suitable for very complicated geometries with hard-to-reach supports. The filament is supplied on a High Temperature Reusable Spool, which is resistant to higher temperatures in enclosed chambers. All important printing parameters are stored in the RFID chip of the spool, so in combination with the Bambu Lab AMS system, you just need to insert the filament, load it and start printing without tedious profile settings.
Warning: Support for ABS is intended exclusively as a support material. To achieve high-quality results, the use of an enclosed 3D printer and recommended print settings is required.

Main advantages

  • Specially developed for ABS – optimized adhesion to Bambu Lab ABS filaments and other ABS materials.
  • Easy support removal – the support is easy to peel off after printing, minimally damaging the surface of the print.
  • Top interface quality – enables 0 Top Z distance and zero interface spacing, so the surface of the model is smooth and without traces of the support.
  • Soluble in d-limonene – ideal for complex hollow or internally supported parts where mechanical removal is difficult.
  • Compatible with Bambu Lab AMS – RFID chip with stored material parameters ensures automatic profile setup.
  • Enclosed printer a necessity – the material is designed for printing in enclosed chambers due to higher temperature and emissions.
  • Drying option – for maximum print quality, the filament can be dried before use according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Recommended use

Ideal for:
  • technical parts and functional prototypes from ABS
  • parts with strong overhangs, bridges and projections
  • complex geometries (internal channels, mechanisms, hollow shapes)
  • multi-material prints in combination with ABS on Bambu Lab printers (X1, P1, P2, A1 with suitable configuration) in an enclosed chamber
Compatibility:
  • recommended for enclosed FDM printers
  • AMS compatible, AMS Lite is not compatible
  • intended for nozzles 0,4 / 0,6 / 0,8 mm

Printing recommendations (indicative)

  • Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
  • Recommended nozzle temperature: 240–270 °C
  • Recommended bed temperature (with glue): 80–100 °C
  • Recommended print speed: up to 100 mm/s
  • Recommended humidity for printing and storage: < 20 % RH in a sealed container with desiccant
  • Drying before printing: approx. 80 °C for 4 hours (in an oven) according to Bambu Lab recommendations
The specific Support for ABS profile is available directly in the Bambu Studio software for Bambu Lab printers.

Safety and conditions of use

  • The material is intended only as a support filament, not for the models themselves.
  • During printing, odor and fumes may be released, so place the printer in a well-ventilated area and always use an enclosed chamber.
  • When using d-limonene for dissolving, follow safety instructions (gloves, ventilation, store out of reach of children).

Who is this filament suitable for

  • Advanced hobby users and professionals who print from ABS and need clean surfaces even for very complex models.
  • Users of Bambu Lab printers with an enclosed chamber who want to take advantage of the convenience of the RFID spool and automatic profiles in Bambu Studio.

Tips for achieving the best results

  • Before printing, make sure the filament is properly dried and stored in a sealed box with desiccant.
  • Use recommended glue or an adhesive agent on the bed for better adhesion of the first layers.
  • For sensitive technical parts, we recommend not letting the model cool completely in the chamber after printing, but removing the supports at a slightly elevated temperature when the material is more pliable.
This support filament is a great choice wherever you want to get the most out of ABS – sharper details, cleaner surfaces and less time-consuming support removal.
