Product description
Product Description
Bambu Lab PETG Translucent Olive – Refill, 1 kg is a premium PETG filament with a semi-translucent olive green shade, designed for reliable printing on Bambu Lab printers and other FDM 3D printers with a filament diameter of 1.75 mm. The Refill variant is designed for use with the reusable Bambu Lab spool, thereby reducing plastic consumption and storage requirements.
The specially tuned formulation significantly reduces typical problems of common PETG – such as stringing, nozzle clogging, or excessive oozing – and enables stable printing with speeds up to around 200 mm/s while maintaining high surface quality and good layer adhesion.
The semi-translucent olive color gives prints an interesting lighting effect, where light partially passes through the material, but the color remains rich and technical-looking. The filament is suitable for functional parts, mechanical components, covers, decorations, lamps, and design objects that benefit from a combination of strength, weather resistance, and an elegant appearance.
Key Features
- PETG material with a semi-translucent appearance – olive green shade for effective lighting and aesthetic applications.
- Refill variant without a spool – intended for the reusable Bambu Lab spool, eco-friendly packaging with less plastic consumption.
- High dimensional accuracy – 1.75 mm diameter with a tolerance of ±0.03 mm for reliable feeding and uniform material flow.
- Robust mechanical properties – good tensile and flexural strength, very good impact resistance, and strong layer bonding.
- Environmental resistance – PETG is water-resistant, more UV stable, and resistant to most oils and greases, suitable even for outdoor parts.
- Better printability than standard PETG – reduced stringing, limited warping, and less tendency to stick to the nozzle.
- AMS Compatibility – suitable for the Bambu Lab AMS automatic filament feeder, including RFID identification.
- Universal use – functional components, holders, electronics covers, hobby projects, lighting, and decorative prints.
Recommended Use
This filament is ideal for users looking for a reliable technical material with better resistance than PLA and yet easier printing than classic ABS. Thanks to the translucent effect, it is great for:
- design parts and covers where partial translucency is desired,
- lighting elements and lamps (diffusers, LED covers),
- models where you want to combine a technical look and an aesthetic effect,
- outdoor or workshop components exposed to moisture or UV radiation.

Printing Tips
- Before printing, we recommend drying the filament, especially if it has been stored in an open environment for a long time – PETG tends to absorb moisture.
- Use a well-cleaned and degreased print bed. For smooth surfaces, it is advisable to use glue or another separation layer to prevent surface damage when removing the print.
- To reduce stringing, you can:
- slightly lower the nozzle temperature within the recommended range,
- adjust retraction settings (length and speed),
- print in a dry environment.
- Due to the higher toughness of PETG, it is suitable for stressed parts, but expect slight flexibility compared to more brittle materials like PLA.
Practical Application
Bambu Lab PETG Translucent Olive Refill will be appreciated by hobby creators as well as advanced users and small workshops who need:
- durable and aesthetically attractive functional parts,
- covers and cases with partial translucency,
- outdoor components or parts for humid environments,
- material compatible with high-speed Bambu Lab printers and the AMS system.
Thanks to the combination of quality, eco-friendly packaging, and easy printing, it is a great choice for everyday professional and home 3D printing.
