Product description
Bambu Lab PETG-CF Titan Gray – strong composite filament for functional parts
Bambu Lab PETG-CF Titan Gray is a technical filament based on PETG, filled with carbon fibers. It combines high strength, stiffness, and impact resistance with excellent printability and a premium surface appearance. Thanks to a new formulation, the typical PETG problem – stringing and material buildup on the nozzle – has been significantly reduced, resulting in cleaner and more reliable printing.
The Titan Gray shade with a subtle carbon texture is perfect for structural, functional, and design parts, where not only performance but also a professional appearance is important.
Main advantages and use
- PETG + carbon fiber composite\nCarbon reinforcement increases strength, stiffness, and impact resistance, while the filament maintains good toughness.
- Significantly less stringing and nozzle clogging\nThe optimized PETG-CF formulation reduces the formation of "strings" and deposits on the nozzle compared to standard PETG.
- Premium surface with carbon texture\nCombines the subtle structure of carbon fibers with the slight sheen of PETG – resulting in very attractive parts with reduced layer visibility.
- Ideal for functional and structural parts\nSuitable for:\n
- parts for drones and RC models,
- functional components of machines and fixtures,
- covers, brackets, mounting elements,
- parts exposed to mechanical stress and slightly elevated temperatures.
- Compatibility with Bambu Lab AMS\nThe spool is equipped with an RFID chip, which allows automatic material recognition in the Bambu Lab AMS system – the printer sets the recommended print parameters after loading without the need for complex tuning.
- Reusable spool\nThe filament is supplied on a sturdy reusable spool, which reduces plastic waste and makes it easy to change refills.
Recommended printing parameters
\nThe specific profile is available directly in Bambu Lab printers and in Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer. The values below serve as an indicative range.
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 240–270 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 65–75 °C
- Maximum recommended printing speed: up to 200 mm/s (especially suitable for Bambu Lab printers)
- Recommended nozzle: hardened / tempered steel (due to the abrasiveness of carbon fibers)
- Enclosure: recommended, but not strictly necessary
- Moisture resistance: lower sensitivity than some other technical materials, yet dry storage is recommended.
Typical material properties
- high stiffness and strength thanks to carbon fiber content,
- good impact resistance and durability in everyday use,
- lower tendency to warping than many other technical filaments,
- matte-satin surface with carbon texture,
- suitable for functional parts for slightly elevated temperatures (e.g., technical and structural components).
\nWarning: Due to the carbon fiber content, the material is abrasive. When using brass nozzles, rapid wear occurs – a hardened / steel nozzle is required for long-term printing.
Recommended use
- structural elements and functional parts,
- parts for drones, RC cars, and other models,
- fixtures, mechanical brackets, mounts, assembly and testing fixtures,
- design and technical covers, panels, and equipment parts.
