The Bambu Lab Filament Buffer – X2D (SA015) is an original accessory for the Bambu Lab X2D 3D printer, serving as an intermediate piece between the AMS 2 Pro unit and the printer. Its task is to compensate for changes in tension during filament feeding, balance length differences in the PTFE guidance, and ensure a stable and smooth filament flow to the print head even during frequent material switching.

The buffer is designed specifically for the rear part of the X2D and utilizes integrated electronics and a spring mechanism that senses filament movement. This allows the printer to better detect the feeding status (tension, release, potential tangling) and react in time, for example by pausing the print or displaying an error message.

This SA015 model is intended for the X2D + 1× AMS 2 Pro configuration. To connect multiple AMS units, a separate AMS Hub is used, not this buffer.
