Product description
Designed for the P1, X1, H2, P2 series
Bambu Lab CyberBrick Time Lapse Hardware Kit – ZK005 is a hardware kit designed specifically for Bambu Lab 3D printers. It allows you to automatically take photos during printing and turn them into professional-looking time-lapse videos.
After receiving a command from the printer, the kit triggers the camera – allowing you to accurately capture every step of the model build. Thanks to multiple triggering methods, the kit is suitable for both smartphones and mirrorless/DSLR and other cameras.
Warning: 3D-printed case parts and holders shown in the product photos are not included. They can be downloaded and printed according to the official Bambu Lab 3D models.
Main benefits
- Official Bambu Lab accessory – maximum compatibility with the CyberBrick ecosystem and Bambu Lab printers.
- Multiple shutter triggering methods
- Bluetooth trigger (mobile phone, selected cameras)
- cable release via 2.5 mm jack
- mechanical trigger using a servo motor (simulating pressing the camera shutter button)
- Automatic triggering from the printer – the printer sends a command at defined moments (e.g. after each layer), the kit triggers the shot.
- Support for multiple devices at once – you can control up to 4 devices simultaneously (e.g. phone + camera via cable + camera via servo + another device via Bluetooth).
- Preloaded firmware – the Multi‑Function Core Board is supplied with the required firmware, just assemble, connect to the printer, and pair with the camera.
- Wide Bluetooth compatibility – support for modern phones (Android, iOS, HarmonyOS) and selected Sony, Canon, Nikon cameras.
- Open 3D models and documentation – official case and holder models, guides, and wiki for easy assembly and setup.
Functions and usage
How it works
- Assembling the kit – the Multi‑Function Core Board is inserted into the Time‑lapse Trigger Shield board.
- Connecting to the printer – the shield is connected to the printer via a Bambu Bus cable (4pin or 6pin depending on the printer / AMS type).
- Pairing with the camera – according to the official Bambu Lab instructions, pair the device via Bluetooth or connect a cable release or servo to the camera.
- Setting up timelapse in Bambu Studio / on the printer – switch on the time-lapse mode (e.g. “Smooth timelapse”).
- Automatic shooting – during printing, the printer sends commands, the kit triggers the camera, and you can then easily stitch the frames into a video.
Typical use scenarios
- creating product videos from 3D prints (for e‑shops, customer presentations),
- marketing and social media – attractive videos for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok,
- development documentation and print tuning (monitoring problematic areas layer by layer),
- educational and demonstration purposes in labs, schools, and clubs.
Compatibility
Bambu Lab printers
The kit is designed for use within the Bambu Lab / CyberBrick ecosystem (A1, P1, X1, H2 and CyberBrick projects). Specific wiring (4pin / 6pin cable, with/without AMS) is determined by the printer type and the expansion board used.
