Product description
Product Description
Bambu Lab Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack Pro is an improved version of the popular SuperTack plate, developed for users who require extremely reliable adhesion of PLA and PETG prints even at lower heated bed temperatures.
The special SuperTack Pro surface ensures that prints hold firmly in place during printing, minimizing the risk of corners peeling or model shifting. After cooling, the plate can be slightly bent and most parts are released without using great force. This makes SuperTack Pro ideal for both large flat parts and series of smaller models, where a stable first layer is crucial.
The plate is based on a 0.5mm flexible steel sheet with a double-sided functional surface. One side offers a finely textured surface for a matte, uniform bottom appearance, the other side is smoother and leaves a subtler texture that less highlights the "3D printed" character of the part.
Note: Like other Cool Plate SuperTack versions, the SuperTack Pro is a consumable part whose surface gradually wears out. It is not recommended to print TPU and some flexible or extremely sticky materials, which can irreversibly damage the surface.
Main Advantages
- Ultra strong adhesion for PLA and PETG The SuperTack Pro surface is optimized for very strong adhesion of PLA and PETG filaments even at relatively low heatbed temperatures. This significantly reduces the number of failed prints caused by a poor first layer or corner warping.
- Double-sided plate – two textures in one One side offers a finely textured surface with a matte look for the bottom of the model, the other is smoother, suitable for applications where you do not want an overly prominent structure.
- Flexible steel plate for easy removal of prints The core consists of 0.5mm flexible magnetic steel, which ensures a firm fit on the original Bambu Lab magnetic heated bed. After cooling, simply bend the plate slightly and the model usually releases itself.
- Minimization of warping for larger parts Thanks to strong adhesion and consistent heat distribution, SuperTack Pro is an excellent choice for larger flat parts, where standard PEI or smooth plates often fail.
- Natural, elegant bottom layer surface The SuperTack Pro texture gently "breaks up" gloss and irregularities, creating a pleasant matte surface that also hides minor first layer imperfections well.
Recommended Use and Materials
- Recommended materials:
- PLA and PLA+ (optimized profiles in Bambu Studio)
- PETG – very good adhesion, recommended to let the print cool completely before removal
- Not recommended / use with caution:
- TPU and other very flexible materials – risk of permanent surface damage (material bonding to the layer)
- Materials with extremely high temperatures and shrinkage (e.g., some technical plastics) should only be used with the appropriate profile and protective layer (glue / separator) if recommended by the manufacturer.
Compatibility
Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack Pro is offered in variants for these Bambu Lab printers (verify during purchase):
- X1 Series / P1 Series / A1 – standard plate format
- A1 mini – reduced plate format
The plate is intended exclusively for Bambu Lab printers with a magnetic heated bed of corresponding dimensions.
Instructions for Use
- Surface Preparation
- Before first use and periodically as needed, wash the plate with warm water and mild detergent and rinse well.
- Avoid aggressive cleaners and abrasive sponges, which can damage the surface.
- Settings in Bambu Studio
- In the build plate menu, select the corresponding profile “Cool Plate SuperTack” / “SuperTack Pro” for the printer and filament used (PLA / PETG).
- The profile automatically sets the recommended temperatures and first layer.
- Printing and Removing the Model
- After printing is complete, let the plate cool down completely – for PETG this is especially important to facilitate removal.
- Remove the plate from the printer and bend it slightly – the model should release or come off the plate with minimal force.
- When using a spatula / scraper, proceed with caution and do not strike the surface sharply to avoid cutting or scratching the soft layer.
- Maintenance and Lifespan
- Clean regularly but gently; avoid solvents that could disrupt the surface layer.
- The surface is consumable – gradual wear (scratches, matting, local reduction in adhesion) is common and is not a manufacturing defect.
