Bambu Lab AMS 2 Pro Power Adapter

If you need to dry filaments in more than one AMS 2 Pro at the same time, you will need to use the official Bambu Lab switching adapter to power the additional AMS 2 Pro units.

If an X1, P1, or A1 series printer is used with the AMS 2 Pro and the AMS 2 Pro drying function is enabled, each AMS 2 Pro requires the official Bambu Lab switching adapter for power.

For the H2D printer:

1. Connecting one AMS 2 Pro:

   • A single AMS 2 Pro can be powered and dried directly by the H2D printer; no additional switching adapter is required.

2. Connecting multiple AMS 2 Pro units:

   • If the drying function is enabled for multiple units, each AMS 2 Pro requires its own switching adapter.
   • Even if only one unit is drying, overall system power may automatically be reduced, leading to insufficient drying. It is recommended to use a power adapter to ensure optimal drying performance.

For X1/P1 series printers:

1. Requirement when using the drying function:

   • When the drying function is enabled, a power adapter must be used to ensure sufficient power.

2. Connecting multiple AMS 2 Pro units:

   • If the drying function is enabled for multiple units, each AMS 2 Pro requires its own switching adapter.

3. Using without the drying function:

   • The switching adapter can be omitted if the drying function is not used.

Notes:

The AMS 2 Pro is compatible with X1/P1 series printers for multi-material printing. The filament drying function for these older generations will be implemented via an OTA update by the end of April.
