What to know before use
- This is a plate with a special coating on one side and, on the other side, an Engineering Plate with different properties. The properties are described below.
- Variations in color and gloss are minor adjustments to optimize the manufacturing process and surface quality. If a coating remains on the nozzle after wiping, it will be heated and melted before printing the model. These changes do not affect leveling, Lidar, adhesion, or the scope of use.
- Before automatic leveling, the nozzle must be wiped repeatedly in the dedicated wiping area of the plate to completely remove residual material on the nozzle tip. The coating in the specially designed wiping area will gradually wear over time. This is normal and does not affect print quality or nozzle lifespan, so you don’t need to worry about any quality issues.
- Bambu Lab recommends using only official Bambu Lab glue on Cool Plates and cannot be held responsible for any damage to plates caused by third-party glue sticks.


Overview
- Bambu Cool Plate is an adhesive sheet that you apply to the Bambu Engineering Plate. It is a consumable build surface used in conjunction with a thin layer of glue stick.
- The Bambu Cool Plate leaves a smooth finish on printed models that contact the Cool Plate and may require a bit of post-processing to clean off glue stick residue.

Benefits
Works best with filaments with a low glass transition temperature, as it can be used at low heatbed temperatures
Works well with automatic flow calibration and does not interfere with LIDAR
Smooth texture on the print surface
Excellent adhesion and easy print removal
Downsides
Cannot be used without a glue stick, as the surface can be easily damaged without it
Not recommended for high-temperature materials, as bubbles may form under the print surface and cause damage
