When to replace the cable – typical symptoms

• HMS messages related to the filament/cutter sensor (e.g., codes listed in manuals and discussions). In many cases, replacing or correctly inserting the FPC cable helps.

Installation and tips

• Always unplug the printer power, then carefully release the connector locking tabs and insert the cable straight to the stop.
• Pay attention to alignment – this connector can accidentally be "clicked" shifted by a few tenths of a mm, causing intermittent errors. Once the cable is seated, lightly check the position of the edge relative to the reference "frame" above the connector.
• After replacement, perform a filament load/unload test and a short print to verify sensor function. If problems persist, also check the filament sensor itself and the toolhead/TH board.
