Why this plate

The double-sided PEY–PEI plate expands the possibilities of your prints on the Bambu Lab H2D/H2S. The PEY side creates an attractive holographic/“starry” effect on the first layer – ideal for design prints from PLA. The PEI side is a universal choice for everyday reliability and materials prone to warping. For the H2 series, the fully usable area is 350 × 320 mm and the plates are mutually compatible between H2D and H2S.

Recommendations for use

• Thoroughly degrease the PEY side before first use (warm water + detergent). For PLA, a higher bed temperature of 60–70 °C and a slower first layer usually help.
• For the PEI side, follow the Bambu profiles for Smooth/Textured PEI (e.g., PETG 60–80 °C, ABS/ASA 90–100 °C, PC/PA 90–110 °C; with glue for some materials).
• Third-party plates may lack the original QR code; in such a case, select the corresponding plate type in Bambu Studio, or apply a printed QR sticker.

When to use which side

• PEY (effect): gifts, covers, decorations – the priority is the appearance of the first layer and pattern transfer. For PLA usually without glue; for other materials use a thin separation layer.
• PEI (universal): technical prints and larger models – better adhesion security, spontaneous release after cooling.
