Bambu Lab E3D High Flow ObXidian™ Hotend 0.4 mm - X1 / P1

Bambu Lab and E3D share a vision for the future of manufacturing, now realized in a jointly developed product. The new E3D high-flow replacement hotend offers 60% higher flow, features the signature ObXidian™ hardened steel nozzle, and an E3DLC™ coating for outstanding durability.

This new hotend is the result of close collaboration between E3D and Bambu Lab. Both teams exchanged valuable know-how about the hotend, printer, and thermal processing of materials. The final product has been thoroughly tested by both teams and will be officially integrated into all Bambu Lab software ecosystems.

Experience a 60% increase in volumetric flow, enabling higher print speeds without compromising reliability. Enjoy smooth and consistent extrusion even during high-speed printing.

Uncompromised layer bonding at high speeds

The E3D ObXidian™ high-flow hotend ensures consistent filament flow even at high print speeds, guaranteeing reliable extrusion and reducing the risk of under-extrusion. The result is stronger layer adhesion and higher-quality prints without slowing down.

Non-stick coating reduces the risk of material sticking to the nozzle

The E3DLC™ coating is a thin diamond-like, plasma-applied layer that creates an ultra-smooth surface. This significantly reduces plastic build-up on the nozzle. This non-stick property helps prevent material sticking to the nozzle—particularly useful when printing with tacky filaments like PETG.

Officially tuned printer presets

Bambu Lab now offers official support for E3D hotends. Users can immediately download and import official presets (make sure you have the latest version of Bambu Studio from the official website). Later this year, these officially tuned presets will be directly available in Bambu Studio and Bambu Handy—just like the presets for standard Bambu Lab nozzles.
