Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the two output ports on the back of the device for?
The upper rear port is intended for TPU filaments, which are soft and may fail during automatic feeding via AMS 2 Pro. Insert the TPU into the AMS HT, check the spool rotation direction, and manually push the filament through the PTFE tube to the extruder.
Note: When using TPU AMS HT does not support automatic filament feeding and retraction, but can be used as a drying box.
2. Is AMS HT compatible with X and P series printers?
Yes, compatibility will be activated via OTA update by the end of April 2025.
When connecting one AMS HT to an X or P printer, it is necessary to purchase a filament buffer.
When connecting multiple AMS HT units, it is recommended to purchase an AMS Hub.
Compatibility with A1 and A1 mini will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2025.
3. Can I print and dry at the same time?
Currently drying during printing is not supported if the AMS is actively involved in the print job (e.g., automatic refill). Drying is only possible on unused units during printing.
4. How many AMS HT units can be connected to X1 and P1 printers?
Up to 4 AMS HT units can be simultaneously connected to X1 and P1 series printers.
