When used with the AMS system, up to 7 different filaments can be used simultaneously – one input via AMS and another three filament inputs directly via the adapter. This allows you to easily combine common materials in the AMS with special or problematic materials on external feeders. How the Bambu Lab 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter Works

Basic Principle

• Side OUT: output for the PTFE tube leading to the print head.
• Side IN (4 holes): inputs for up to four filament paths / PTFE tubes or direct filament insertion.

Use with AMS

1. The PTFE tube from the print head connects to the OUT end of the adapter.
2. The PTFE tube from the buffer/AMS output connects to one of the IN holes.
3. In the remaining IN holes, you can:
   • connect additional PTFE tubes from external feeders
   • or directly insert filaments that the AMS cannot handle (TPU, PET-CF, CF/GF filaments, etc.).

Use without AMS

1. The PTFE tube from the print head connects to the OUT end of the adapter.
2. In the IN holes, you can directly insert up to four filament strands or bring PTFE tubes from external spool holders.

Important: It is necessary to follow the correct installation direction (IN → OUT). Reverse connection can cause filament clogging and feeding issues.
